Trail Blazer uses a client server technology where a small but very powerful application is loaded onto your computer. Your data resides on our servers relieving you of the responsibility for backing up the data. You may have as many people as you like connected to and using the database at the same time.


In 2002, Trail Blazer Campaign Services, Inc. purchased Trail Blazer from Aspen Software. Aspen Software had been selling Trail Blazer for about 10 years, focusing primarily on FEC compliance reporting.

In 2002, as we worked with our clients, we created a new version of Trail Blazer building from the ground up using new technology. We quickly adapted the key features of the existing software to the new .NET Framework from Microsoft.

We have maintained our commitment to FEC compliance reporting and added grassroots tools, mass email, web integration, events, polling and more. Our philosophy is that a central database makes for simpler and better run campaigns.

In 2007, we partnered with a national non-profit fund raising coach and launched Trail Blazer's Non-Profit Manager product. In addition, Trail Blazer is a member of the Minnesota Council of Non-Profits.

Trail Blazer products are installed primarily in the United States and Canada, plus a few clients overseas.
