This past month (3/19/08, vendor comments released on 4/7/08, full vendor tools not yet released) the FEC informed us that they are making changes to the format.  So after this format 6.1 being around for a few months (fully released to us 11/19/2007), more changes are in store.  Hello version 6.2.

Looking at the documentation version 6.2 looks to be fairly limited in the number of forms and schedules changed, but large in the changes on those forms.

Makes me really glad how we built the tool to create the file, we can make the changes without a bunch of changes to our table structure or layout work for this.  We just have to code the project, and coming off the changes last quarter to the code it should just take us a few days, maybe 10 hours or less of actually code work.

I was interviewed for a CRM publication called crmbuyer.com the article is called "Voter Relationship Management: The Constituent Is the Customer" and can be found at www.crmbuyer.com/story/62345.html.

I think the article is pretty good, except where they link to our competitors at the bottom and not us I.  Also I should point out that I was not the sole developer of Trail Blazer.

Pretty nice to get this kind of press.

I am back from vacation and ready for some new things, the first of which is this new blog that Pat setup for me and the rest of the Trail Blazer crew.

Last week before I went on vacation we signed our 6th non-profit.  And we did our first "mass" showing of our non-profit version.   We had a booth at the MNCR.org "Message + Medium + Mission conference" we were very excited to show our software in such a public display.  Up until then our non-profit business had pretty much just been word of mouth, and that had been keeping us pretty busy!!!

I want to thank everyone at MNCR.org for a wonderful day.
